"HELPING HAND"
A Pinellas Park, Fla. therapist who helped New York Yankee
Dwight Gooden's comeback after being released by the Tampa Bay Devil Rays
has guided return from injury for a number of Tampa Bay Storm players as
well. At Meilus Muscular Therapy and Sports, Al Meilus uses specific
therapies designed to help enhance physical performance and/or pain
management.
The Yankees play a series at Tropicana starting this Tuesday (Sept.
26-28). Meilus has successfully worked on injuries of WR/LB Lawrence
Samuels, DS Israel Byrd and OS James Bowden.
He's also worked with Carl Williams of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers during the
post-season last year. A satellite office recently opened up in Detroit [Royal
Oak] by
Head Golf Pro John Traub of the Detroit Golf Club.
